He was a key figure in the Transmit project brain frequency experiments in Berlin and Kiev. Lepke B's blissful regard for the sacred in life has placed him as one of the Testcard knights. His totally unique approach to sound, plunderphonics and visual art have led him to work with some of the most respected people in his field, including the Turntable Hell tour with Otomo Yoshihide. in his own lifetime,always preferring the 'common
man' to the hi-fliers of life...marti provided often
'political' vocal onslaughts to many of testcards
early performances...

Ian
helliwell was the seminal tape loop and electronics
expert behind testcards early performances. He featured
on the notorious exorcist transmission amongst others.His
own label Geiger Counter specialises in abstract film
and soundtrack production. Ian now performs regularly
around Europe,notably the Avanto festival in Helsinki. |
Simon
Wade,the earliest testcard performer, contributed
the industrial percussion to amongst others the BBC
maidevaille recordings and the JSA performances at
the Albert in Brighton. Simon went on to start his
own label based in London producing his own music
specialising in dub. |
Esther
Hoyuelos is a butoh dancer. She performed with testcard
in Kiev for the transmit project. Her butoh training
with masters such as Masaki Iwana and unique performances
have made her highly sought after in dance. |
